Access Control

An expertly installed Access Control system should do more than just lock and unlock doors. At minimum it must answer the following:

Who went where? What did they do and when did they do it?

What’s more, your Access Control provider should ensure swift response times, comprehensive maintenance contracts, secure inventory of spare cards, parts and effective service levels.

Why Access Control?

Access Control provides the authority and intelligence you need to maintain complete integrity across the full span of your operation’s critical facilities – from single door sites to multiple entry locations across the country.  What’s more, the right system can also help ensure regulatory compliance, asset protection and deliver a healthy ROI.  Access control can help you:

  • Control fixed locations - With the right system in place, you maintain control over buildings, parking facilities, loading bays, data rooms and file storage areas.
  • Control movement within locations - Effectively deal with the security of your organization by managing access to authorized personnel, locking down facilities and monitoring alarm points.
  • Control access to equipment and technology - An intelligent Access Control system can also authorize control over the usage of heavy machinery, work vehicles and company fleets, as well as computers and computer networks.

What technologies can be used?

Working with you to understand your requirements and protocols, we can recommend the appropriate identification systems to suit your business goals.  Veridin’s product lines include leading edge card access technologies from Software House Guardall/Verex.

  • Smart Card identification - Identification is authorized via an encrypted, contactless or micro chipped card.
  • Proximity identification - Identification is authorized via a contactless card reader based on Weigand Protocol, an industry control standard.
  • Biometric identification - Identification is authorized by reading the user’s biometric signature: fingerprint, vascular print, retinal scan or handprint geometry.
  • Dual Factor authentication - A higher level of security that controls access by using two separate authentication methods, such as card plus pin number or card plus biometric.
  • RF (Radio Frequency, wireless) – Access control is granted via handheld wireless devices.
